About Me

I am a private Maths tutor in the South Gloucestershire area. I have a Maths and Music degree from Cardiff University with 6 years experience tutoring from ages 6 to 28 years with all ranges of ability.

I have experience working in both primary and secondary schools and have a full DBS check.

I will work at whatever pace you prefer and aim to build confidence in maths alongside the content.

Whether you want some extra help to gain your GCSE level 4 (approximately grade C in the previous system) or an extra push for an A* in your Maths A Level I am happy to cater to your requirements.

Frances taught me mechanics for my A level exams. She was absolutely amazing. Before I started having lessons with her, I felt lost with this subject but straight after my first lesson I felt more confident and this confidence grew and grew. Really in depth and listens to the topics you need to cover the most, Frances makes learning ten times more fun and helped me a lot to understand difficult maths topics that my teachers couldn't!

Frances is a very helpful easy to work with person who helps you bring out learning you didn't even know you could reach. Her tutoring has really helped me achieve the best in my ability of maths and has given me all the best in my final GCSEs. Without her I could not have gotten that far.

Ever since year 9, I have struggled with maths confidence and academia throughout my time but since working with Frances, that literally all changed. I am so easily distracted but she kept me working and focused. Going into the exam I felt so much more confident than what I previously felt. Friendly and approachable. Helped me to understand maths by breaking it down into small steps. Demonstrates by using visuals drawings to help understand certain areas of maths such as volume and Pythagoras. Lessons were made fun by using maths games.
